Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya On Movie Plans, "I Would Love To Do Films, But Filmmakers Are Reluctant To Cast A TV Actor"- EXCLUSIVE
Divyanka Tripathi is amongst one of the most popular faces on the small screen. The actress who is currently seen playing the character of Ishita Bhalla in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hain Mohabbatein is also making her digital debut with the web show Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala opposite Rajeev Khandelwal. Divyanka recently displayed her hosting skills in the singing reality show, The Voice 3. And we thought the time was right to ask if she has plans to enter movies.

Here’s what she told us, "I would love to. But nothing interesting I have been offered from Bollywood yet. The offers which I have got till now require me to turn glamorous and stand like a glam doll. I believe I am a versatile actor and I can give them a lot when it comes to content. I have a big bag of expressions; if they offer me something challenging and worthy I will definitely give them that".

The actress also accepts that filmmakers are hesitant to cast a TV actor in their big budget films. As she mentioned, "There are also apprehensions amongst filmmakers like ‘Arey, she is a television actor, nahi nahi chahiye. I don't know why is that happening? They must be feeling that Television actors might over act which is not the case. In fact whenever a TV actor has done a film, they have left an impact. There are many big examples right from Vidya Balan, Mouni Roy. So whenever a TV actor’s name comes in front of them they become reluctant as they feel we would not understand their way of shooting. But I really salute to all the TV actors because no actor can just learn the script in ten minutes of time and deliver the dialogues with so much of dedication".

When asked if she has faced something like this personally, to which the actress replied, "Thank God, no one has said this on my face or else I would have explained them as well".

Divyanka who started her career with Zee Cine Stars Ki Khoj earned fame with her character of Vidya in the show Banoo Main Teri Dulhan. Then, she made a comeback of sorts with Yeh Hain Mohabbatein in 2013 and the show has still kept the audience hooked after all these years.
